No – these masks are not FDA-regulated products or personal protective equipment (PPE), and are not intended for use by health care professionals or for use in health care facilities or environments. While they provide a physical barrier, they do not provide the same fluid or air filtration protection as licensed masks and respirators.
Will this face mask help prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Please keep in mind that these masks are not intended for use by health care professionals or for use in health care facilities or environments. These masks are designed for personal use – they do not meet FDA regulatory standards determined for medical devices or personal protective equipment (PPE) products. These face masks should not be used in (i) any surgical setting or where significant exposure to liquid, bodily or other hazardous fluids, may be expected; (ii) a clinical setting where the infection risk level through inhalation exposure is high; and (iii) the presence of a high intensity heat source or flammable gas.
